| Swimming Speed |
 The orca's smooth, streamlined body is designed perfectly for swimming in the ocean with ease. Orcas typically cruise around at about 3kn (6km/hr). If they have somewhere to go in a hurry they may travel at 6 or 7 kn (15km/hr). If need be, they can perform short, intense spurts of speeds up to 50km/hr. |
