The Climate |
This region is part of the temperate rain forest. As this implies, the area experiences substantial rainfall, around 120 cm annually. Summer temperatures are normally warm and comfortable. However, the ocean waters remain cold year round, from 5 to 10'C, and the cool summer nights create thick morning fog which typically blankest the area until the morning sun gains strength. Winters are usually wet, and storms with strong southeast winds are frequent. |
