>>OrcaLive made its long awaited live debut on August 1. Many thanks to all of you who have been accessing the site. When the project was suddenly given the go late last year we never dreamed it would come this far in a bit over six months. All staff members on location for installation at Johnstone Strait are back in Japan enjoying OrcaLIVE--moved/impressed as we do. (Do take a look at the document of our struggles Behind the Scenes) Dr. Spong and his family and the assistants at Orca Lab will be maintaining OrcaLIVE locally through autumn along with our support from Japan. We urge you to listen to the orcas beautiful calls, look (if you are lucky) at their graceful forms, and of course make comments!
